This head was David Chu’s personal flute-testing head for many years. It has an incredibly rich, earthy wood sound, the sort of deep and powerful quality that one associates with players like Jacques Zoon. If you are looking for the Baroque flute sound on a modern flute, this is not the head for you. This head brings forth the power of wood that made Rudall Carte thinned wood flutes the orchestral favorite of British players for generations, yet in a far more accessible, modern form. The tenon is approximately .015″ wall.
