Matit headjoints are very rare, and we’re glad to have two in our collection. The biggest advantage of carbon fiber is its strength in relation to its weight. It’s a very strong material while being very light. Compared to a standard silver headjoint, this one is about 30% lighter.
David Chu has given this head a new, bamboo lip plate and the result is like a supercharger–tremendous power that makes maximum use of the carbon fiber material while retaining the extreme overall lightness of the head. If you are looking for that extra boost to cut through a large ensemble this may be the head for you. The original Matit embouchure will be supplied with purchase of the head.
