The head joint was taken from a Vanotti student model flute. The mechanism needs servicing but may cost more than the actual flute. The headjoint, however, seemed very decent with a lovely French sound. Or Italian sound in this case! It pairs nicely with a commercial Haynes flute, adding a special sparkle and glow.
