This flute was made when Powell started using a Cooper-style embouchure, heralding a new era of flute playing. The craftsmanship of this flute solid and precise throughout. Although the body has a tube thickness of 0.018″, the barrel is sized to receive a thin-wall headjoint. This type setup of setup is common when an owner already has a gold or platinum headjoint but wants a heavy walled flute body.
