This flute sings almost effortlessly, with a gorgeous, sweet tone that epitomizes the flute sound of this era. The tonal quality is consistent throughout all registers. The low register is very flexible, which transforms into fluidity when you move into the second and third registers. Overall, the sound is clean, smooth, and lyrical.

Intonation is consistent between the left and right hands. The flute plays well at A=440 Hz with the head pulled out to 1/4 inch. The headjoint is unmodified.

The flute was overhauled by David Chu in 2015 and has sat in its case unplayed since then. The pads are in excellent condition with almost no wear. The original case latches well and is in good condition. This flute is well preserved!
